“My initial inspiration was my dream destination Iguazu waterfalls in South America. I am combining the fluid lines of falling water with a traditional Latin cultural aesthetic. Many garments include abstracted designs and embroidery details, which were inspired by traditional folk embroideries from Latin America. I am using vintage-recycled garments, some of which I have hand dyed, as well as airy chiffon and lightweight silks.”
