The School of Fashion Mourns Legendary Parisian Retailer Maria Luisa Poumaillou

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Parisian retailer Maria Luisa Poumaillou who died of cancer on Tuesday.  She was a guest at the 2006 Graduation Fashion Show where she viewed student work and spoke on a panel discussion for students with Alexander McQueen; Christophe Girard, Deputy Mayor of Paris Responsible for Culture and Director of Fashion Strategy of the LVMH Fashion Group; Robert Mettler, former Chairman and CEO of Macy’s West; San Francisco retailer Wilkes Bashford; The Honorable Bertrand Delanoë Mayor of Paris; Gene Krell, International Fashion Director of Condé Nast Asia; and Rosalie Huang, Editor at Large of Vogue Taiwan.
