ModelVP, a social modeling platform that empowers models through self-promotion and consumers through self expression, is hosting a scholarship competition. They believe that education is the key to a successful career in the fashion industry, and want to help students as they prepare for their professional pursuits. ModelVP is offering four scholarships to deserving students to help them continue their education in fashion related fields. Students should submit an essay of 500 words, answering the following prompt:
Social networking is transforming the way we live. With new avenues for social interaction, dialogue, and collaboration opening up all the time, it is often difficult to imagine how such changes in communication can transform already existing industries.
How do you see technology, particularly social media, changing the modeling and fashion industry in the next 5 years?

Of the four scholarships awarded, two will go to students enrolled in university programs, and two to students enrolled at trade schools. The two first place winners will each receive $1,000, and two second place winners will receive $500.
