NBC’s Fashion Star was a mega hit last season, and two Academy of Art University alums made it to the final round – with 2008 MFA Fashion Design alumna Kara Laricks taking the top honor, and the $6 million prize! The show is coming back for a second season and will be holding casting calls this summer in several locations throughout the country. They are looking for designers who “know how to create ready-to-wear and fashion forward masterpieces,” whether you’re undiscovered, up-and-coming, or already established – all are welcome to apply.
