TGIF – happy Friday fashion students! We’re going to get your weekend started right with a new edition of A Little Music for Your Friday. There has been a serious ’90s revival over the past several months, from dark lips and bare midriffs to musical comebacks from Destiny’s Child and JT. Our latest track isn’t a new song from a former 90’s star, but is a fresh remix of one of our favorite 90’s artists, Missy Elliott.
Montreal producer Kaytranada takes Missy’s classic “Sock it 2 Me” and turns up the volume – loud. The vocals are taken to a whole new level, and layered over some seriously hard hitting beats. The song maintains it’s smooth, sexy vibe, but packs an extra punch. We’re digging it and hope you do too. Have a great weekend!
