The latest edition of the A Journal was just released – and it features two School of Fashion alumnae! Melissa Fleis, 2009 MFA Fashion Design, and Elena Slivnyak, 2009 BFA Fashion Design, were both contestants on the 10th season of Project Runway, which aired earlier this fall. They were chosen as two of the sixteen designers competing for fashion fame, joining the ranks of former PR contestants including Christian Siriano, Mondo Guerra, Gretchen Jones, and a host of others. Though neither designer took home the grand prize, Melissa did make it to the final round, producing a collection that hit the runway at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York.
