Earlier this summer, we shared the Adidas Eyewear competition hosted by Talenthouse – and one of our students has made it to the voting rounds! Zane Kearney, MFA Textile Design, designed a pair of sunglasses inspired by the Spanish architect and sculptor Santiago Calatrava. Calatrava is known for bridging the gap between structural engineering and architecture, continuing the tradition of modern architecture in Spain and throughout the world. Kearney sought to mimic Calatrava’s intricate architectural style with the pattern he created for the inside of the frame. The front and side of the frames are sleek and simple – all-black with a golden stripe.
Now it’s up to the public to decide which frames will be produced – and that’s where Zane needs your support. Head over to the Talenthouse website and cast your vote, and let’s help him win this!
