FSD loves “Jeremy Scott: The People’s Designer” documentary trailer

Fashion designer Jeremy Scott has made quite a name for himself with his eponymous line founded in 1997, his collaboration with Adidas, becoming Moschino’s creative director in 2013, creating costumes for Katy Perry’s Super Bowl XLIX half time show performance, as well as Madonna’s backup dancers wearing his track suits for Adidas Originals during her Super Bowl halftime show performance.

At the 2004 Academy of Art University Graduation Fashion Show, Simon Ungless, Executive Director of the School of Fashion, invited Jeremy Scott to be honored with a Doctorate of Humane Letters from Academy of Art University. After the fashion show, Jeremy selected BFA Fashion Design student (and later Project Runway Season 8 contestant) McKell Maddox and BFA Fine Art Sculpture student Lynn Christiansen to intern with him at his company. Presently, 2013 BFA Fashion Design alumus Youngjin Shin works for Jeremy assisting with patternmaking for upcoming collections, garment construction, sample developing and design for Jeremy Scott, Adidas x Jeremy Scott collaboration, and Moschino.

“Jeremy Scott: The People’s Designer” will be released on September 18.
