The Italian Trade Commission Collection was a collaboration of seven M.F.A. Fashion Design students and one M.F.A. Textile Design student and was sponsored by the Italian Trade Commission (ITC). The eight students who collaborated on this women’s wear collection are Ginie Huang, Zenia Kim, Kate Lee, Jessie Jie Liu, Iglika Vasileva Matthews, Tanja Milutinovic, Ilana Dora Siegelman and Cecilia Q. Xie. All of the fabrics used were from Italian mills, and ranged from wools to satins and everything in between. The muted color palette consisted of varying shades of beige, grey, white, and silver. Fine detailing, expert tailoring, and body-conscious silhouettes prevailed throughout this beautiful collection.
