Southern California based enterprise Apolis (which translates to Global Citizen) is a model for corporate social responsibility. The company was founded in 2004 by two brothers, Shea and Raan, who had a dual goal in mind: to create a product while simultaneously creating an opportunity. Apolis co-creates products with manufacturers throughout the world, bringing employment where it is needed most and empowering others through opportunity instead of charity. Currently they have partners in Bangladesh, Nepal, and Uganda, and are constantly traveling and looking for their next opportunity to help others. This weekend they are opening their first store in Los Angeles, the Apolis Common Gallery. The open house will be from 11 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, October 29. The store will feature goods from their global partnerships, as well as others made closer to home. Be sure to check it out and support this amazing cause!
