Here comes the bride…

Emerald Couturiers is calling all fashion designers for Project Emerald, a bridal design competition that could earn you an internship, cash as well as a chance for your design to be sold and shown on the pages of Brides Magazine.

The competition requires you to sketch and design a wedding gown (you don’t actually have to make the dress) will be based on two design categories:

1. Popular Dress Designs:

The Popular Category includes designs that appeal to a majority of brides with a retail price point of $1200-$1500. Please keep this in mind when determining the styling of your design and the fabrics to be used. Consider body type and realistic proportions while developing concepts and produce designs suitable for a range of sizes. The winning design will be featured on both the Emerald Bridal and Brides.com websites, and might also be included in next season’s collection.

2. Trend Dress Designs:

The Trend Category is for gowns with no boundaries! Use your imagination and design skill to create a masterpiece of any styling and price point. If selected, the gown will be featured on both the Emerald Bridal and Brides.com website.
