The anticipation is rising for a night of Halloween events. For an evening fright head to the Haunted Mansion tour at Mayhem Mansion or amp it up with the new drop ride and show, Escape Alcatraz. For a party filled evening, check out The Walking Dead of the Fisherman’s Wharf or the Halloween International Ball at W Hotel. If scary nor extravagant are for you, can still join in the spirit with this San Francisco Halloween Pub Crawl or SPiN’s Pong-O-Ween.

Saturday

SF Open Studios
Time: 11:am – 6:00pm
Cost: Free

Spend the day meandering through San Francisco neighborhoods from Richmond to Upper Haight and Sunset to Excelsior popping in and out of studios to celebrate the 41st annual SF Open Studios. Find everything from printmaking to metal sculpture and everything in between. Network with local artists and maybe even find inspiration for another Halloween costume to wear to one of the many Halloween events (since you can’t wear the same one twice!)

Sunday

Get your pets in on the Halloween celebration at the 23rd annual Pet Pride Day hosted by San Francisco Animal Care & Control. Look forward to live bluegrass music, a costume and trick (probably for a treat) contest, Runway Show, and a Dating Game where adoptable animals are showcased! And if you happen to leave with 12 puppies in tow (think Megan from Bridesmaids) since the adoption fees are waived, we won’t judge.
