Curtain Up For Fashion Film Program

The Academy of Art University School of Fashion, Department of Fashion Journalism and The Academy Library are proud to present a new Fall Fashion Films program.

Showcasing the exciting world of fashion documentaries, the series includes “The Eye Has To Travel,’’ about famed fashion editor Diana Vreeland; “Bill Cunningham New York,’’ a moving tribute to the late, great New York Times street photographer; “Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’s,’’ a documentary on the Manhattan department store; and “The September Issue,’’ the classic account of Anna Wintour’s preparations for Vogue’s massive fall-fashion issue.

The screenings will take place in The Academy Library, 6th Floor, Screening Room, 180 New Montgomery.

Here are the dates and times:

“The Eye Has To Travel’’:  Thursday, Oct. 20, 7 pm.

Bill Cunningham New York’’: Thursday, Oct. 27, 7 pm.

“Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’s’’: Thursday, Nov. 3, 7 pm.

“The September Issue”: Thursday, Nov. 10, 7 p.m.

Free popcorn will be provided at the event. First come first served.
