My design philosophy is centered around simplicity, organic shapes, and classic styles. For my thesis project, I drew inspiration from Zhu Ohmu’s Chinese pottery ceramics. The layered lines in her ceramics create a unique silhouette, which I aimed to replicate in my designs. I spent a lot of time searching for the right fabric to achieve the natural and organic feel I wanted, resulting in voluminous pieces that feel like a flower resting inside an exquisite ceramic vase. The architectural design includes an attached jersey undergarments for ease and efficiency. I tested various colors and used ink and a brush to create an ombre effect on the fabric in a harmonious color combination.
