Things are starting to get pretty crazy at the School of Fashion as we gear up for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, and we always rely on music to keep us sane. There’s nothing like a great song to keep you going when you’re to-do list seems a mile long. And what’s even better than listening to your favorite songs? Seeing them performed live of course!
Earlier this week, we had the chance to see one of our all time favorite bands: The Red Hot Chili Peppers. It was a complete ’90s dream come true. Their set was absolutely amazing – they played all of our favorite songs and had an obscene amount of energy for a band that’s been doing this for over 20 years. And while we could go on and on about RHCP, the band we’re highlighting in this week’s A Little Music for Your Friday post is actually their opener – Little Dragon.

Little Dragon is a new wave/electro group from Sweden, whose sound is completely unique. We’ve been listening to them ever since we first saw them at Coachella in 2010 and were beyond excited when we found out they were opening for the Chili Peppers. The song we’ve decided to share today is “Ritual Union,” the title track off their most recent album. It has an amazing bass line and lead singer Yukimi Nagano’s vocals are so amazingly dynamic, the listener is immediately pulled in.
We hope you enjoy it!
