Art Basel is the most important annual gathering in Florida for the influential international fashion and art community. In the chilly winter month of December, many seek to leave their cold winter for the warm oasis that is Miami. This amalgamation of heavenly weather, art, music, and culture produces four days of pure fashion bliss. However, the best part of Art Basel is that the artwork extends beyond what can be found at the Convention Center, Red Dot, and Wynwood galleries, for the people who take part in Basel are art forms themselves. From swaying fabrics to bold colors and prints, each person paints themselves…perhaps far more interestingly than the art that hangs on the walls around them.
