It’s been all over the news. Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook and every single social media outlet has been flooded with heartfelt condolences (and uncouth snide remarks) about the death of the chanteuse Amy Winehouse who passed on July 23.
She has been shown in all sorts of lights: talented, gritty, brilliant, tabloid fodder, trendsetter, bad girl, genius and everything in between. However she is looked at, you have to admit — she had an influence on culture and she, like many others in the famous “27 Club,” (which includes the likes of Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Brian Jones, Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain — all who died at the age of 27) passed in her prime.
If you are a fan of Amy Winehouse, what do you think it was about her that made her an influential force in popular culture? Was it her style? Her music? Her attitude? Comment below and tell us what you think.
