Levi’s x Arts Thread Design Competition 2017

For the second year in a row,  Levi’s® is teaming up with Arts Thread for a design competition in hopes of discovering emerging talent and giving them a one of a kind opportunity. This is a chance for design students over the age of 18 to showcase their ideas for Levi’s®  Made & Crafted® Fall/Winter 2018 line.

The competition is open to driven individuals from around the world who must design four to eight outfits for the Fall/Winter 2018 season as well as create a visual identity for the brand. The applicants will be judged on creativity, aesthetic and originality of their concepts with 20 shortlist finalists getting featured on the Levi’s and Arts Thread websites.

Four lucky designers will get an opportunity to intern for 10 weeks at Levi Strauss & Co.’s San Francisco headquarters during the summer of 2017.  They will learn from Jonathan Cheung, Levi’s® SVP of Global Design and his team as well as visit and work at the Eureka Innovation Lab.

This is the second time Levi’s has partnered with Arts Thread, which is known for collaborative competitions which help students get exposure, make connections and learn from some of the world’s top brands and fashion insiders.

Entering is free and the deadline to apply is Nov. 30, 2016, by midnight. The application and full list of rules can be accessed here.
