Topshop has just announced their latest crop of NEWGEN designers – and we couldn’t be more excited! For anyone who isn’t familiar with NEWGEN, it is a program that was implemented by the British Fashion Council in 1993 to “spot and support fledgling designers as they get their careers off the ground.” Former NEWGEN alums include Alexander McQueen, Erdem, Peter Pilotto, and Mary Katrantzou – pretty big shoes to fill. But we have no doubt that this year’s talented designers will make quite the impression.

The NEWGEN program, sponsored by Topshop, provides a platform for these young designers to showcase their collections during London Fashion Week. JW Anderson, Michael van der Ham, and Simone Rocha will debut their designs on the runway; with Christopher Raeburn, J. JS Lee, Lucas Nascimento, Marques’Almeida, Nasir Mazhar, and Sister by Sibling holding presentations; and Huishan Zhang, Lim Cooper, Palmer//Harding, and Sophia Webster showcasing their work in the exhibition.

Fashion week may seem ages away, but it’s always here before you know it. And we’ll definitely be keeping our eye on these ones-to-watch!
