My senior thesis collection is called “Haunted Love.” It is about a living doll who got her heart broken. I wanted to portray a collection with a melancholic, creepy, and fun feel, featuring teddy bears and cats with five eyes, broken hearts, and acidic colors to create a nightmare that feels like a “trip.”
I incorporate corsetry, a clash of fabrics, wild and vivid pastel colors, and creepy-cute illustrations made to look like stickers. I used a mix of fabrics for this collection, including ribbon, scuba, sherpa, sequin mesh, custom print, nylon, and faux fur.
