Our thesis collection is a commitment to sustainability, as all garments are made of 100 percent upcycled men’s dress shirts. In our commitment to minimize waste in the production process, all scraps from the garment-making process were repurposed and used in other looks throughout the collection. For the dye and textile work, we employed the use of cyanotype, a photographic printing process that results in a beautiful blue color. This technique transforms white-collar shirts into blue-collar streetwear. The intention is to represent capitalism and over-consumption, showcasing the designers’ vision for a more sustainable and socially responsible fashion industry.
