For my senior thesis collection, I was inspired by the word “phantasmagoria” and the fear of the unknown, an emotion I often felt during the pandemic, a time in my life filled with uncertainty. I wanted to express the feeling of anxiety and create comfortable and safe clothing to soothe the feelings of uncertainty and anxiety while still acknowledging those feelings. I want my clothes to give people
a sense of security, safety, and comfort, like a blanket I used to make me feel less anxious and calmer in times of uncertainty.
