My senior thesis collection is a reflection of the Byzantine empress Theodora for the modern-day woman. Theodora had worked her way up from working in a brothel to being the empress of the Byzantine empire. This is a fall/winter collection inspired by the richness of prints and colors from the Byzantine period. I sourced my fabric from India to create the final garments.
This collection is very dear to me as I have felt Theodora’s rise very inspiring. I feel like in every time period women are out there fighting their own battle each day and becoming a stronger version of themselves. I created this collection utilizing the boldness and richness of silhouette and design elements.
