On September 20th, the Inspired by VitaminWater Fashion Show, sponsored by the CFDA, was held at Mezzanine. This is the second contest put on by VitaminWater that the school has participated in. VitaminWater came to the school last April to promote their Color Collection T-Shirt Design Competition, along with Rag & Bone designers David Neville and Marcus Wainwright and eBay creative director Andrea Linett. School of Fashion student Chris Lee submitted a design and was a finalist in the Color Collection Competition.
For the Inspired by VitaminWater Fashion Show, designers were invited to create a dress inspired by the color, flavor, and functionality of VitaminWater. Seven designers from the School of Fashion participated, with Jessie Jie Liu coming in as runner-up and Jade Juanyu Liu taking first prize! Upping the celebrity quota for the evening: one of the judges was Mondo Guerra, of Project Runway fame. All of the looks were beautiful, and the VitaminWater inspired colors looked great on the runway. We’re so proud of all the designers!
