Backstage photographers and TV crews from outlets such as NY 1 News, Paris Modes, Global Fashion News, FashionWatch.com, Dong-Ah TV, and Spanish Vogue added to the creative energy of last minute preparations. Here Ceslie Armstrong whose TV segments reach over 40 million viewers on NBC alone interviews designer Shanti Rose Markstrom.
Simon Ungless, Director of Graduate Fashion, who is also the Executive Producer for the University’s fashion shows, worked with Kevin Carney “DJ Nitedog” on the music. Simon selected the opening music segment from the 1973 movie Badlands featuring Martin Sheen and Sissy Spacek whose look from this movie was the theme for the make-up and hair.
Hair styling was created by Frank Rizzieri for Aveda and makeup was by Rudy Miles for Aveda. Fashion stylist Travis Boyer worked with the graduate designers on their looks for the show.
