In honor of Hedi Slimane’s grand debut as the creative director of Yves Saint Laurent, er Saint Laurent Paris, today’s Monday Morning Photo pays homage to the label’s namesake. The show is set to begin at 8:00 PM this evening in Paris (11:00 AM on the West Coast), and we can’t wait to see the collection.
Women’s Wear Daily reported earlier this morning that the invitations were “sumptuous black booklets filled with pages of fractured animal spots” and the website, which is re-launching tomorrow, also features an animated animal print backdrop – perhaps we’ll be seeing some of these prints on the runway. Lets hope Slimane’s collection elicits as much applause as Mr. Saint Laurent’s, though we have no doubt it will.
