Free Chai for Indian Independence Day
Need to Know: Offer only good for In-Store purchases
Cost: Free
Time: 12:00pm – 9:00pm
Description: Head to either of Kasa Indian Eatery’s locations in the Castro or Nob Hill to celebrate Indian Independence Day with for a free Chai when you check in on Facebook. Self proclaimed “Best Chai in San Francisco,” we don’t mind testing it out for free!

Trivia Night at the Park
Need to Know: 21+
Cost: Free
Time: 7:00pm
Description: Bring your smartest friends to SoMa StrEat Food Park and Brainstormer Pub Quiz every Tuesday for a chance to win the coveted trivia champion title that is accompanied with free food, beer, sangria, t-shirts and more. Free Museum & Gallery Crawl: Yerba Buena Third Thursdays
Need to Know:
Occurs every third Thursday. RSVP Required
Cost: Free except for the Contemporary Jewish Museum, which offers a special entry price of $5.
Time: 5:00pm – 10:00pm
Description: Start by picking up your wrist band at YBCA. This is your ticket to all things Third Thursday: Enjoy the heart of downtown between 2nd and 5th street with special rates at participating bars and restaurants as well as free admissions to all galleries and museums.

Edge Residency: 2016 New Works
Need to Know:
Stay for a post show discussion with the artists with a bonus of Cable Car Cakes and Chocolates.

Description: CounterPulse residents, Zoë Klein and Sephanie Bastos, will present the exploratory autobiographic dance works of “uncovering identity, freedom and loss.” Colombian-born Klein will show her work, Born, Never Asked, that comments on the complexity of international adoption. Bastos will perform Timeline, a piece that travels through the journey of a Brazilian-American who, after a car accident, is forced to dance with and without a prosthetic leg. Why not dress up and enjoy a fancy night complete with stunning performances?

Description: This group art show will introduce the Bay Area to up-and-coming artists as they explore En Route to Self. 17 artists will present work with the inspiration, “Finding oneself by redefining oneself” at Space 236 in San Francisco.

The Sumatran Ship Cloth
Need to Know: Exhibition ends February 12, 2017
Cost: $6 for students, $15 for adults
Time: 9:30am – 5:15pm
Description: In this textiles exhibition at the de Young, two major categories of ship cloths from the Lampung region of south Sumatra will be displayed. From the Sumatran aristocrats to the everyday exchange between relatives, these cloths are beautifully designed, rich in color and ours for admiring.
