During Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, many designers new to the New York fashion scene made their presence known, delivering unique shows throughout the city. One of those designers is Anna Francesca, who presented her spring 2012 men’s and women’s collection, “Lucifer”, at the Helen Mills event space in Chelsea.

Anna presented an edgy, bad-girl collection to the tune of “Highway to Hell” while models wearing deathly looking eye-makeup made their way down the catwalk. Using unique combinations of fabrics, colors and prints, from silk chiffon to metal chains to cartoonish prints featuring characters such as Spiderman, each piece was sure to catch the audience’s attention.

Anna’s designs are a combination of her experience as a well-rounded artist, painter, and sculptor. She loves colors and see’s fashion as a way to showcase all her artistic talents in one arena. “I do sculpture. I do film. I do everything!” Anna said. “That’s why I think fashion is so amazing!”

After this week she plans to keep on going and exploring fashion. As she proudly and bravely says, “I want to revolutionize the fashion business.” And boy what a start! Find more on Anna soon at annafrancescab.com – a work in progress.
