Four teams. 21 students. One challenge.
MFA students let their creative juices flow for an entire semester when they participated in Design Ignites Change, a San Francisco-based organization that challenges students to “use design thinking to explore and create solutions for pressing social problems.”
In this particular challenge, students worked in four different teams and were asked to create a collection of modern heirlooms and leave behind a legacy for successors. In other words, they had to make something that was aesthetically innovative and had a social & economic conscience sewn between the seams.
