Debut New York wants you! And when I say “you” I am referring to up and coming designers.
The gallery-like boutique that houses unique clothing collections that cater to female individuality has an announced an open call for all of you aspiring women’s wear designers out there.
“The concept behind the open call is to break down the barriers of entry to the industry, and allow for designers to have an enhanced experience with, and exposure to the buying process and competitive retail environment,” said Debut’s Founder, Lisa Weiss in a recent statement. “We’re looking for personal style, innovation and drive, and on our end it’s about the discovery process.”
This is the perfect opportunity for undiscovered designers to sell their work and get some admirable exposure for the Spring 2010 season.
If you want to submit your work for consideration, send artwork, photos and sketches to opencall@debutnewyork.com by Tuesday, November 10th.
Three finalists will be chosen and invited for a presentation on November 17th at Debut’s Mulberry Street location in New York – and if you can’t make it, don’t worry – you will be considered. The winner will be announced on Nov. 23 and the designer’s work will be featured in the stores for Spring 2010.
